If you've found this, you've probably already tried a few things.

Maybe you've had treatment and felt better for a while, only to find yourself back to square one. Maybe you've been going to Pilates and enjoying it but something still isn't right. Maybe you've been told your core is weak, you're doing squats and lunges, and your back still aches every single day. Maybe you've had investigations, been reassured nothing is seriously wrong, and yet the pain keeps coming back.

You might be dealing with recurring lower back pain. Tightness or aching through the hips and buttocks. Pain that radiates into the leg or feels worse after sitting for any length of time. SIJ discomfort that never fully settles. A deep core that just doesn't feel connected, whether that's post-pregnancy, post-surgery, or simply after years of your body compensating without anyone really addressing the root of it.

These are the presentations I work with every single day in clinic.

And the thing I hear most is the same: finally, someone who gets it.

What It Actually Is

Not a Pilates class. Not a list of physio exercises.

It's a rehabilitation system, built around proper clinical reasoning, real movement education and the kind of body awareness that genuinely changes outcomes long term. Pilates is the method; rehabilitation is the goal.

The lower back rarely suffers alone. In most of the cases I see, the real problem is spread across the whole lumbopelvic region: reduced hip mobility, poor deep core connection, an overloaded SIJ, a nervous system that's been guarding for so long it's forgotten how to switch off. Generic Pilates doesn't address this. Standard physio exercises often don't either, because they don't teach you how to move, breathe and connect in the way that actually makes the difference.

This programme sits in the space between the two. That's exactly where it was designed to live.

"I understand what it is to have a body that has been through something significant, and to have had to rebuild your relationship with movement from the ground up."

Why I understand this more than most

My Story

This is personal

I came to this work through my own body, first as a dancer with hip and hamstring injuries, and later through stage four deep infiltrating endometriosis, which meant years of chronic lower back pain, SIJ dysfunction, sciatic involvement and a deep core living under constant strain.

I understand what it is to be told the pain is manageable or unexplained, and to have had to rebuild from the ground up. That experience, alongside over fifteen years of clinical practice, is what this programme is built on.

What You'll Learn

By the end, you won't just feel better. You'll understand your body.

You'll understand how to breathe properly and why it has such a profound effect on this region, from deep core activation to pelvic floor function to nervous system regulation. You'll learn how to actually connect to your deep core muscles rather than just bracing and hoping. You'll start to recognise imbalances in your own movement, understand what's causing your symptoms to recur, and know what to do when things flare.

And you'll have the tools to manage your own body long after this programme ends, because the goal isn't to get you through eight weeks. It's to make sure you never feel lost with this again.

How It Works

Four phases over eight weeks

Phase One

Reset

Breath, deep core activation and nervous system regulation. The foundation everything else is built on.

Phase Two

Rebuild

Lumbopelvic control and movement re-education, restoring quality of movement before adding load.

Phase Three

Reload

Progressive loading and multiplanar strength, building control through all planes of movement and into single-leg work.

Phase Four

Restore

Functional integration and return to activity, with a maintenance strategy to manage symptoms long term.

What's Included

Everything you need to do it properly

Eight weeks of phased video sessions

Filmed with a real patient with genuine lower back injuries and surgery in her history. Real corrections, real modifications, real progressions, because that's what actually teaches you something.

The HB Align Clinical Manual

Your written companion explaining the reasoning behind every exercise, what you should feel, what common mistakes look like and how to adapt.

A self-assessment

To find your right starting point, because not everyone needs to begin at week one.

Clinical guidance throughout

So you're never guessing whether what you're feeling is okay.

A maintenance plan

For when you feel better, because the goal is to end the cycle, not just get through this flare.

About Hayley

Hayley Brown, MSc

Pilates Educator & Rehabilitation Specialist

I sit at a crossroads. I work with patients referred to me by surgeons and specialists for complex rehabilitation, with clients who want to understand their bodies and move well for the long term, and I mentor Pilates instructors in the clinical reasoning most Pilates education doesn't cover.

The thread connecting all three is the same: bridging the gap between clinical knowledge and real movement. That's what The Pilates Rehab Method was built on.
